NO MAIL-ORDER BICYCLE SALES.  Before you get too far, please note that, as per TREKs dealer agreement, dealers cannot sell bikes via mail-order, no exceptions.  Any dealer violating that agreement is selling through the gray market and killing the warranty (not to mention that you don't get to test-ride the bike, get properly fit, have it fully assembled for you and have someone take care of it for you if something goes wrong).

One look at the size of this list and it's easy to see that Chain Reaction has more bikes on sale than most dealers have in their entire inventory!  We're fortunate in that, being located in California, we have a year-round selling season and so can afford to take advantage of many good buys that come our way.  Plus this list also includes our extensive collection of "cosmetically challenged" bikes as well.  These are bikes with paint scratches and dings, but perfect working order and full warranty.

We'll try to update this list weekly, but it's still a good idea to call ahead and make sure we still have the bike you're interested in.

NEW FEATURE! On certain model, the far-right column will include the actual, verified weight of that exact bike. This will be the weight as the bike is on the floor. The only adjustment that's been made is to remove the weight of the reflectors (.227 pounds).

Rules:  We've made no attempt to touch up the blems on these bikes, and have no real skills at touch-up work...so if you can't forgive a scratch or two, these bikes aren't for you.  In the fine-print category, Sorry, but if it says a Klein Quantum Pro is $999...that's a typo, and that's not the price you get!  We're doing our best to eliminate errors like that, and believe we've now got most of them stamped out.  In the meantime, if there's a bike on this list that interests you, call up the indicated store and make sure it's still available!  Sorry, but we generally won't be able to tell someone on the phone detailed info about the "blems" on a particular bike and we generally won't be able to transfer these bikes from one store to the other.  

Oh yes, cannot forget this...no mail order bike sales!  All purchases must be made by a real live person in one of our stores.  This is for all sorts of good reasons, including the need to get properly fitted to the bike, assembly, and having a place to take care of things if something goes wrong.  Hopefully you've got a great local bike shop in your area...you've just got to find them!

Where should you buy your TREK bike?  From Chain Reaction Bicycles, of course!  Actually, the answer isn't that simple, since a great number of visitors to our website live hundreds, if not thousands of miles away from us.  If you live close by, you'll benefit from buying from us because we fit each and every road bike using the Fit-Kit sizing system, which helps determine not only frame size but perhaps even more importantly recommends what size & angle of handlebar stem to use.  You'll also benefit from our continued efforts to make sure you're comfortable on your bike, even including free stem exchanges well after you've purchased your bike.  Plus, free minor adjustments for as long as you own your bike.  Why do we do all this?  Because we want your bike to decorate you, not your garage.  And finally, you'll benefit from our continued sense of "ownership" of your bike, long after you've purchased it.  If it's one of our bikes, and it does something it's not supposed to, we take care of it.  We even turn down profitable service opportunities on bikes we haven't sold because of our obligation to keep the bike you purchased from us on the road!

But what if you don't live near Chain Reaction? When shopping for a bike, keep in mind you're also shopping for a bike shop.  Ask yourself if they understand your needs, or seem to be pitching today's special?  How do they assure that the bike fits you?  And, very importantly, ask yourself if the shop is the sort of place you'll feel comfortable bringing the bike back to if something's not quite right (One of our informal mottos is- "We won't run away if you bring your bike in the door in two pieces.  We might cringe, but we won't run away!).  Keep in mind that these items are far more important than a $50 difference in price, since the most expensive bike you can buy is the one you don't use because it's not quite right.
